question about 55 monk IDS farm
Hello, lately I've been trying to do an Icy Dragon Sword farm with my 55hp monk. I've been running the following skills:
1. Prot Spirit
2. Heal Breeze
3. Holy Veil
4. Shield of Judgement
5. Mending
6. Balthazar's spirit
7. Sprint
8. Rush
I can easily run to mineral springs and getting past the first avicara's is no problem. Though when I get to the avicara guiles they seem to use strip enchant, which steals bout 50 health, and easily kill me. Even when I cover up PS well with Heal Breeze and Holy Veil.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or how I can get past the guiles properly?

That skill steals health, so the only thing I can think of doing would be to take another (max) armor set with full health...

I think the 600/smite build would probably work well for this run, just change up the builds a bit. Do as the poster above suggests and bring a second armor set. Leave a hero smiter at the portal and you run to the cave using Spell Breaker to cover when running through the casters. I haven't tried it, but it seems to me it would work. Below are the builds I use sometimes. They will need tweaked for your application.

Go with heroes and hench and normal armor, clear your way there. Flag your hench off radar when you reach the cave and start farming.

covering up against health stealing doesn't work since it is not dammage so PS won't reduce it to 10% of your maximum health.
just do the run with hero/henches and a full health set
however, I don't think the IDS farm is worth the effort atm

Basically I would say once then life steal, keep casting enchantments due to the fact that they heal some HP. It may not help but you can try it, I used to do this run a long time ago but it took forever to even get to the cave lol. I was actually going to try it again sometimes but I forgot the build, can you post the attribute points you use also?

Agree. Monk is vulnerable to life-stealing from Avicaras, less safe vs imps... And imo slower.
